    Madrid (Solar Decathlon Europe)

    Brazil's debut, with Ekó House, a UFSC and USP team that placed 3rd in the sustainability contest.

  2. 2019

    Cali (Solar Decathlon Latin America and Caribbean)

    Winning team with Casa Minga, a cooperation between Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali, UFSC and IFSC, which took 1st place overall at the Solar Decathlon Latin America and Caribbean.

    Memorandum of Understanding with the DOE

    Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to hold the Solar Decathlon in Brazil.
